Did you look up to see if there was any performance changes with that prop? What are the main benefits?

Prop is a little lighter, improved climb and cruise speeds. The leading edge is shielded with a superalloy of mostly nickel, giving it a very hard leading edge surface for protection. Plus the Woodcomp prop is a little too knicked up for my liking. AND, they have a subsidiary right here in the USA for maintenance and repair if needed. www.duc-propellers-usa.com/

I talked to James about this prop when I was picking up my plane in Indiana. They had been thinking about switching to this prop for a while and finally negotiated a price they could live with. Looks promising and a prop I might consider down the road should my current prop get damaged.

UPDATE-
If you’re considering the DUC 3, your existing spinner cutouts for the prop will be too small. The DUC 3 prop roots are much larger in circumference than the Woodcomp prop. You’ll need to send your spinner and spinner backing plate to Rob for some custom work to widen the cutouts.

Jim- Yes, all lined up. Here is a pic from a brand new Aerotrek at the factory. They come standard with the DUC 3 prop installed. You can see how big the spinner cut out has to be to accommodate the prop root. Our existing spinners have a smaller cut out. Attachments:
