Today I was looking into the EDGE Performance kit for the Rotax 912ULS. Nothing I plan on doing soon but just like to know all options out there for my engine. The US distributor's website just happens to boast an A220 on the front page. I think it looks AWESOME. Also, there has not been any in flight failures of the Edge Performance motors yet. I think that speaks for something. Thomas really knows what he's doing over there in Norway. On this A220 they got to 120hp (with no turbo) and idling smooth in the 1400 range. I bet that thing is a rocket. I wouldn't even entertain the idea if my 912 was still warrantied. But that 24 month period went up in 2018. What do y'all think about their kit/motors? stolcreek.com/edgeperformancebadasspowersports.com/

I think it's an interesting upgrade to the 912, but one I'll probably never do. Reasons: This plane is very light and the stock 912ULS does a great job. I'm in no hurry to get anywhere (I can easily cruise at 120 now) and most of my flying will be east of the Mississippi with rarely a density altitude concern. It's a pricey option to do "just for kicks". Maybe if I was facing an overhaul I would consider this, but my plane is new and it will take a very long time to reach TBO. Maybe longer than I'll own this plane.
