After some nightmares with several times broken tailwheel in really tuff off-airports landings, I decided to build one on myself. Don’t ask me how many hours engineering and 5 axes machining. First made on rapid prototyping before final version. Development and 3D drawings made on a PC, as well as finite element calculation. At the end a smooth system, light and robust... ..and Time consuming and ... 🙈

Wow. That's incredibly impressive engineering! Has anyone approached you about selling them? You have to get questions about the tailwheel a lot.

Well... everybody is captivated by this conception for sure. The big advantage I have in my category ULM (ultra light motorised) is that we have freedom for some changes. As soon as you are certified... forget it.
Yes I got some interresteds by this system, especially from bush pilots. Many of them have broken theyr tailwheel. With such system you prevent not only the tailwheel but the cell as well.And you stop the tail bumping..
Replacing a tailwheel costs hundreds , repair a damaged cell can cost thousands ...
