Hello all-
I’ve been watching the AeroTrek for about three years, and finally purchased one two weeks ago! It’s a late 2017 A240 with about 15 hours on it.
I’ll be “hangaring” it in my 30’ enclosed trailer. So I’m already getting a lot of practice folding the wings and transporting it.
I love the airplane, the avionics, and the flight characteristics. I look forward to learning more about the airplane from each of you.
Thanks all!

Welcome Redpro!
Glad to see you on here!
How has it been with folding and unfolding the wings? Have you had any issues 'unloading' your trailer at a public airport? I might end up buying a trailer to 'hangar' mine.
All of these Aerotrek owners in the South will have to get together some time!

Trailering the plane has been a breeze. I live about a mile from our local airport, so keeping the plane at my home has been super convenient. Easy to pull out and wash or tinker with. Pulling it over to the airport is painless, and we have a few good spots at the airport to park the rig and be out of everyone’s way. With power to the trailer it’s a self contained “hangar”, equipped with tools, lights, air conditioning, fridge, fuel, etc. The key with trailering and setup/takedown is being meticulous and careful with the process. Take your time; develop a flow for how you do things. Don’t rush the process and it works great. After doing it now several times, we are figuring out a good process. It takes us about 20 minutes now from parking the trailer to being ready to fly. Again, we are slow and meticulous about setting it up. That time will continue to decrease as we get used to the flow. It also makes for great airport conversation with fellow aviators when they see you pulling this plane out of a trailer! Talking shop is almost as enjoyable as flying.
