I am 99% thrilled with my A240. There are, however, a couple things I wish were different.
1. The brake handle on the panel, to me, is an awkward location. I much prefer either toe brakes or having the brake handle on the control stick(s). Toe brakes would allow for differential braking to help in turns. A hand brake on the stick would just be more convenient and intuitive. Toe brakes are on the A220 and could have easily been adapted to the A240. I've grown use to the panel location now so it's not a monumental issue. Just personal preference.
2. Anyone ever wish they could remove the passenger control stick? I have. I've had some larger passengers whose knees interfered with full stick movement. One guy's belly prevented full aft movement. A quick-disconnect stick on the passenger side would alleviate this problem. The stick could be held in place with a pin and the comm wire could have a plug.
No plane is perfect. The Aerotrek comes pretty close.
